1. General characteristics of the profession
Performs instructions of the head: collects and summarizes information, prepares materials for the report to the head, conducts telephone conversations, minutes of meetings, communicates with visitors, works on a computer.
2. Requirements for the individual characteristics of a specialist
Good visual-motor coordination (at the level of hand movements), the ability to concentrate and distribute attention, good long-term and operational memory, emotional stability, high noise immunity, business communication skills, and constructive perception of criticism are needed.
3. Medical contraindications
The activity is not recommended for people suffering from the following diseases: respiratory organs (bronchial asthma, tuberculosis, etc.); cardiovascular system (heart disease, hypertension, etc.); nervous system (neurosis, meningitis, tumors, etc.).
4. Requirements for training
The secretary-typist should know the rules of punctuation and spelling, typewriting, rules of operation of electronic and office equipment, standards for the design of business letters and documentation, the structure of the enterprise. Knowledge of shorthand and a foreign language is desirable.
She should be able to perform typing work, arrange documentation according to standards, use office equipment and a computer, have skills in business communication, and serve business meetings.
