Funeral clown

Previously, the services of such "specialists" were quite popular. The funeral clown was supposed to wear the clothes of a dead man who was buried, also put on a mask, which is a copy of the dead man's face, and dance.

The Romans believed that such an action should reassure the spirit of the dead, bringing happiness to others. After that, ordinary clowns came into action, who began to joke and ape.

Despite the curiosity of the profession, some funeral clowns were respected people who even took part in the funeral of the emperor himself.
