1. General characteristics of the profession
Performs work on lifting and transportation of cargo in blast-furnace, steel-smelting, rolling and pipe shops at the enterprises of the metallurgical industry. Participates in the repair of equipment shops. Controls the correctness of the use of loaders lifting devices. Monitors instrument readings (load indicators, etc.) and loader signal gestures. Monitors the technical condition of the crane (mechanisms, brakes, ropes, crane tracks). In accordance with the qualifications awarded, the driver works with loads of different weights.
2. Requirements for the individual characteristics of a specialist
Responsibility, concentration, concentration, self-control, good vision, accurate eye, excellent hearing, stable vestibular apparatus.
3. Medical contraindications
Employment of persons suffering from diseases of the vestibular apparatus, organs of vision (use of glasses is not allowed), hearing impairment, severe functional diseases of the cardiovascular system, nervous system, epilepsy, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, severe pathology of the female genital area is excluded.
4. Requirements for training
Must know the device of various types of cranes, the principles of electrical equipment, the technological process of metallurgical production, its features. Requires knowledge in the field of physics (electrical engineering), safety regulations; rules slinging (fixing) of goods; sign and sound alarm.
Must be able to: understand the schemes serviced cranes and mechanisms; to determine the causes of the failure of the crane.
