A person who creates an artistic image on the stage of a theater with the aim of influencing the viewer, to cause him to respond.

The actor creates an artistic image. At the same time, the created image is aesthetically valuable to the extent that the action and the ideological thrust of the performance or film as a whole develops through it. In the process of work, the actors are closely connected with their partners and the director, participating with them in the creation of the artistic whole, which is a theatrical production or film. At rehearsals, the actor, putting himself in the circumstances of the plays and roles, solves the problem of creating character on the basis of stage reincarnation. The most important and final act of the work is a performance before the audience in the theater or filming a movie. The actor uses himself, his intellect, emotional qualities and external data as a material for creating an artistic image. He resorts to the help of a make-up, costume, and sometimes to a mask. The actor needs, first of all, to have a good diction and a strong voice, a sense of rhythm and ear for music, not to have physical defects. But the main thing - you need to have stage charm. This quality includes many things: expressiveness, the ability to naturally communicate with partners on the stage, the ability to infect the viewer with their thoughts and feelings. Such qualities as observation and imagination, i.e. the ability to notice the characteristics of life phenomena and then embody them on stage. This is the main source of replenishment of the actor's professional baggage.
