1. General characteristics of the profession

It draws signs and outdoor advertising, shopping halls, premises of institutions, catering enterprises, etc. Carries out artistic and design works in various techniques using different materials (wall painting, embossing, wood carving, mosaic). May lead the work of the brigade, which includes painters, finishers, designer.

2. Requirements for the individual characteristics of a specialist

Accurate visual-motor coordination at the level of hand movements, subtle color differentiation, a good eye, well-developed visual-figurative thinking, good artistic taste, creative abilities, originality of thinking.

3. Medical contraindications

The work is not recommended for people who have: diseases of the musculoskeletal system (limiting the mobility of the arms and hands); allergic to chemicals, wood dust, etc.

4. Requirements for training

Should know: the basics of drawing, composition, color; techniques and methods of performing design work in various techniques; properties of materials and dyes used; paint preparation methods; technology of finishing work.
