The main responsibilities of the label manager include finding new names, managing the artist's repertoire, signing contracts, developing positioning strategies and managing artists, developing a marketing plan, planning and producing products, holding a tender among distributors and selling a license. As well as promoting label artists, forecasting the development trends of the music market, licensing Russian and Western music, creating corporate collections for brands and thematic compilations of the company, developing a strategy for cooperation with Russian and foreign partners, planning and conducting promotional events releases. The ideal candidate for this position is the applicant with the education of a marketer, who has a bright, creative and at the same time systematic thinking. Fluency in English is desirable. The candidate must be able to negotiate and have knowledge of copyright. One of the basic requirements is deep musical scholarship. Music should be close to such a person throughout his life. He must love and understand music, otherwise his efficiency in the company will be very low.
