Lecture
This is from the recent past. For telephone communications, switches were used in the twentieth century, where people manually "connected" telephone subscribers with each other. The telephone conversation had to be ordered and waited for the “sweet lady” to reach the subscriber and forward the call to you. Cellular communication has completely killed this profession, and telephone lines are now serviced
automatically.
All voice prompts in the process of a telephone conversation (which button to press in order to receive the necessary information or to contact the necessary person) were not recorded some time ago, but were played live.
Verdict: the profession has become extinct. Perhaps someone is tormented by nostalgia for live communication, but alas, the return of this work is not expected.
