The Credits and Receivables Manager develops and proposes policies and procedures that determine the company's activities in the field of receivables management. Manages research on credit risks affecting customers and suppliers, and monitors the flow of funds owed to the company for the goods and services provided.
Job responsibilities
- studies and develops policies and procedures used in researching, extending and controlling loans, as well as for receiving payments due;
- prepares loan status reports and collections and other current reports;
- determines the size of lending, makes recommendations on the amount of working capital required for obtaining loans on the security of receivables and the creation of reserves to cover unpaid loans in time;
- participates in credit groups in bankruptcy cases;
- checks the financial position of new customers, agrees on the terms of payment and monitors the receipt of payments;
- controls the maintenance of accounts receivable in accounting registers;
- monitors the settlement of customer claims;
- assists clients in obtaining financial support;
- directs or participates in special studies of the economic situation of certain industries;
- visits existing or potential customers in order to study the issues of crediting and collection and to maintain good credit relations between the customer and the company;
- may assist in familiarizing sales representatives with the credit policy and activities of the company;
- can also participate in investment analysis and investment policy making;
- may be responsible for office management, preparation of payroll, monitor insurance or banking operations, the work of the cashier;
