1. General characteristics of the profession
Works in construction and repair and construction organizations. Prepares and processes sawn timber, makes blanks for joinery, from which it assembles doors and windows. Makes plinths, platbands, cornices, installs door and window blocks. Assembles and installs built-in furniture, installs and customizes the place of latches, locks, transom, etc. Lists out according to sketches and makes templates for plastering and forms for stucco works.
2. Requirements for the individual characteristics of a specialist
For successful activities are necessary: the love of the tree; good health, eyesight, good joint and muscular sensitivity, good distribution of attention; rapid visual-motor reaction, the ability to concentrate attention for a long time and its flexible distribution, good spatial imagination and visual-figurative thinking.
3. Medical contraindications
The work is contraindicated for people with diseases: musculoskeletal system; deformation of the fingers; vestibular diseases; respiratory organs; of cardio-vascular system; musculoskeletal system; nervous system.
4. Requirements for training
The joiner should know: the properties of wood of different species, methods of its processing; wood defects, methods of sealing of its individual places; methods of making, fitting and mounting joinery; technology and equipment.
