1. General characteristics of the profession

2. Official duties

Organizes the development of plans (schedules) for inspections, tests and preventive maintenance of equipment in accordance with the provisions of the Unified system of preventive maintenance, approves these plans and monitors their implementation, provides technical preparation of production. Coordinates plans (schedules) with contractors involved in repairs, timely provides them with the necessary technical documentation, participates in the compilation of title lists for major repairs. Organizes the work on accounting for the presence and movement of equipment, the preparation and execution of technical and reporting documentation. Supervises the development of regulatory materials for the repair of equipment, the consumption of materials for repair and maintenance needs, analysis of indicators of its use, budgeting for repairs, preparation of applications for the purchase of materials and spare parts necessary for the operation of equipment. It organizes turnaround service, timely and high-quality repair and modernization of equipment, work to improve its reliability and durability, technical supervision of the condition, maintenance and repair of buildings and structures, ensures the rational use of materials for repair work. Takes part in the preparation of proposals for certification, rationalization, accounting and planning of workplaces, modernization of equipment, reconstruction, technical re-equipment of the enterprise, introduction of integrated mechanization and automation of technological processes, environmental protection, and development of plans for improving production efficiency. Organizes the inventory of production assets, identifies obsolete equipment, facilities that require capital repairs, and sets the priority for the production of repairs. Participates in experimental, commissioning and other work on the introduction and development of new equipment, in testing equipment, in accepting new and out-of-repair equipment, reconstructed buildings and structures. Studies the working conditions of equipment, individual components and parts, develops and implements measures to prevent unplanned equipment stops, extend the service life of components and parts, overhaul periods, improve equipment safety, increase its reliability in operation, organizes specialized repair, centralized manufacturing of spare parts , knots and the replaceable equipment. Takes part in studying the causes of increased wear and tear of equipment, its downtime, accident investigation, development and implementation of measures for their elimination and prevention. Manages the development and implementation of measures to replace inefficient equipment with high-performance equipment, to reduce unscheduled repairs and equipment downtime, reduce repair costs and maintain it through the use of new progressive methods of repairing and restoring parts, components and mechanisms. It provides control over the quality of equipment installation, rational expenditure of funds for major repairs, proper storage of equipment in warehouses, timely inspection and presentation to the state technical supervision authorities, lifting mechanisms and other objects, making changes to the equipment passport. Takes measures to identify unused equipment and its implementation, to improve the operation of existing equipment, to organize repair work based on the mechanization of labor and the introduction of advanced technology, to improve the organization of labor of repair service workers. Ensures compliance with the rules of labor protection and safety when carrying out repairs. Participates in the development and implementation of measures to create safe and favorable working conditions during the operation and maintenance of equipment, in reviewing rationalization proposals concerning the improvement of equipment operation, gives feedback and conclusions on the most complex of them, as well as on draft industry standards and state standards, promotes the introduction of accepted innovations. He takes part in the preparation of applications for the purchase of equipment on a leasing basis. Supervises the department’s employees and departments that provide maintenance services for equipment, buildings and facilities of the enterprise, organizes work to improve their skills.

3. Qualification requirements

Higher engineering and technical education and professional experience in engineering and management positions in the relevant profile of the enterprise in the industry for at least 5 years.
