2. Official duties

PR is a special management function that contributes to the establishment and maintenance of communication, understanding and cooperation between the organization and the public; helps to solve various problems and tasks; helps the management of the organization to be informed about public opinion and respond to it in time; identifies and focuses on the main task of the company's management - to serve the interests of the public; allows management to be prepared for any changes and use them as efficiently as possible, playing the role of an “early warning system” about the danger and helping to cope with undesirable trends, and uses research and open, ethical-based communication as the main means of activity ”. Consequently, the main task of a PR specialist is to achieve mutual understanding between the company for which he works and his clients, partners, authorities at all levels, journalists, the public, etc. Sometimes
PR specialists are called “consent architects”. In addition to external contacts, the scope of PR activities also includes work within the company: developing principles for the personnel policy of the enterprise, relations between the manager and subordinates, internal public opinion polls, collecting information about the needs and mood of employees, creating a favorable team atmosphere that promotes the full realization of opportunities and initiatives each employee, prevention and timely resolution of business conflicts. In order to cope with such a wide range of versatile duties, a PR specialist needs to professionally master oratory, know the psychological laws of human behavior, methods of conducting sociological research, etc.

3. Qualification requirements

Education is desirable humanitarian (philological, sociological, psychological). Proficiency in at least one foreign language. Experience not less than a year (usually 2-3) in profile.
