The operator in the production of chemical fibers

1. General characteristics of the profession

Works at the enterprises for the production of chemical fibers. It prepares the installation for operation, punches holes for starting the melt from the furnaces. Regulates the flow of the melt, cooling water, viscosity and temperature of the melt. Monitors fiber quality.

2. Requirements for the individual characteristics of a specialist

The activity requires a high speed of motor reactions, good visual-motor coordination (at the level of the movements of the fingers), the ability to distribute attention and concentrate it for a long time under monotony.

3. Medical contraindications

The work is not recommended for people with: diseases of the musculoskeletal system; severe diseases of the organs of vision; hearing severe forms of hypertension and diseases of the central nervous system; of cardio-vascular system; skin diseases; allergic diseases; deformation of the finger; chronic infectious diseases.

4. Requirements for training
We need knowledge in the field of chemistry, physics. Must know the technological process of fiber production, methods of regulating the uniformity of flow, viscosity, temperature of the melt jet, ways to prevent and troubleshoot equipment.
