1. General characteristics of the profession
Calculates the location of the image on the material on the model, markup. He selects threads, beads according to the pattern, performs embroideries in various techniques, hem-stitch, nets. Cut embroidery patterns. Uses hand tools (needles, scissors, etc.).
2. Requirements for the individual characteristics of a specialist
A good visual memory, subtle color distinction, accurate hand-eye coordination (at the level of hand movements), and good spatial imagination are necessary for the activity.
3. Medical contraindications
The work is not recommended for people suffering from diseases: the upper spine, limiting the mobility of the hands; digestive organs (peptic ulcer, diabetes, etc.); kidneys and urinary tract (nephritis, renal failure, etc.); organs of vision (myopia of medium and high degree, impaired color discrimination, etc.).
4. Requirements for training
The embroiderer should know manually the techniques for making various types of embroidery, the types of fabrics and their properties, the methods for calculating the arrangement of the pattern on the material (as per sample, drawing, marking).
