1. General characteristics of the profession
The person responsible for the organization of the execution of works on the current maintenance and repair of the track.
2. Official duties
Supervises the track mounters, the crawlers, the attendants at the crossings; is responsible for inspecting the track, identifying faults in the upper structure of the track, ensuring security measures during the work of the brigade. Must know: the device railway tracks, the rules and technology of work, instructions for the current content of the path, the rules for safety and industrial hygiene, primary accounting and reporting. Professionally important qualities: visual acuity, technical hearing, responsibility, communication skills, attention. Medical contraindications: pronounced impairment of vision and hearing, diseases leading to loss of consciousness, nervous and mental diseases, diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
3. Qualification requirements
Vocational schools, vocational technical schools.
