Develops technical conditions and tasks for the program and subprograms included in the overall program. Determines the possibility and methods of solving the problem in the most rational way. It compiles the algorithm of the task and its individual stages, the program logic. Important in the work of mathematics is the compilation of a mathematical model of the process and the determination of a numerical method for solving a problem. The mathematician also performs work on the unification of computational processes, participates in design work to expand the field of application of computer technology.
