1. General characteristics of the profession

The driver of the boiler room monitors the condition of the boilers, melts them, following the rules of kindling and precautions. In the process, monitors instrument readings, water level and temperature of steam. In the event of a malfunction, the boiler evaluates the degree of danger and takes precautions.

2. Requirements for the individual characteristics of a specialist

Sufficient visual acuity and hearing, good memory, concentration, attentiveness, discipline.

3. Medical contraindications

The work is contraindicated for people suffering from diseases of the cardiovascular system, the musculoskeletal system (impaired motor function), having a decrease in vision and hearing, damage to the central nervous system, allergic diseases.

4. Requirements for training

Knowledge of the basics of heat and electrical engineering, chemistry, devices and principles of operation of boiler units, security systems, schemes of heating systems; order and accounting of fuel supplied; causes of malfunctions in the operation of boiler installations, preventive measures and ways to eliminate them; safety regulations.
