1. General characteristics of the profession
Detects and eliminates faults in mechanical, electrical equipment of various types and modifications. Carries out the soldering, adjustment of details, balancing and adjustment of knots and mechanisms. Depending on the type and complexity of the object, the nature of the defects, repairs are carried out in the workshop or at the location of the faulty apparatus.
2. Requirements for the individual characteristics of a specialist
High sensitivity and mobility of hands and fingers, good linear and three-dimensional eye, technical thinking, spatial imagination, distribution and concentration of attention, technical ingenuity, purposefulness, perseverance, self-criticism.
3. Medical contraindications
The work is not recommended for people suffering from diseases of the cardiovascular system, neuropsychiatric diseases, with pronounced defects of vision, hand tremor, predisposition to allergies.
4. Requirements for training
Training in physics, chemistry, mathematics. Must know the purpose, principles of operation and interaction of individual units, nodes, elements of various types of equipment, major faults and ways to eliminate them; master the skills of mechanical and metalwork processing.
5. Related professions
Electronic equipment and instrumentation controller, installer, radio and television equipment repairman, vacuum equipment installer, radio operator, electronic equipment adjuster, radio equipment assembly fitter, instrumentation and automation mechanic, electrician for repair of electronic computers.
