When depicting architectural fragments, building structures and structures, it is often necessary to build falling shadows from flat geometric objects that are in a particular position relative to the planes of the projections.
In accordance with the main property of parallel projection, the falling shadow of a flat geometric object parallel to the plane of projections is parallel to the orthogonal projection of the object and congruent to the object itself.
To construct a shadow of a circle, it suffices to find the shadow of its center and draw a circle of radius of the given circle.
To construct a shadow of a polygon, it is enough to find the shadow of one vertex and construct a congruent polygon.
