The shadow from point A on any surface P is the intersection point of the light beam S passing through this point with the surface P.
The shadow from point A on the plane of projections is the trace on this plane of the light beam S passing through point A ( A t - shadow from point A on the plane of projections; And t 1 - the horizontal projection of the shadow of the point A ; And m 2 - frontal projection of the shadow of point A ).

The shadows from the points on the upper field P 2 and on the front field P 1 are called real shadows ( А Т , В Т ). The shadows from the points on the bottom field P 2 and on the back field P 1 are called imaginary ( false ) shadows ( A ' T , B' T ).
