Types of connections of parts: threaded, welded, riveted, glued, keyed, splined.
Detachable connections: threaded (bolts, nuts), pin, keyed.
Thread parameters: pitch, diameter, profile, lead angle.
Threaded connections: bolts, screws, nuts, studs.
Thread classification: by profile (triangular, trapezoidal), by direction (right, left), by purpose (fastening, running).
Standard threads: metric (M), inch (UNC, UNF), pipe (G, Rc).
Thread image on the drawing: on the rod - in the form of parallel lines, in the hole - as a spiral, in the connection - a combined image.
Thread designation: letter designation indicating the diameter and pitch (for example, M10x1.5).
Standard threaded products: bolts, screws, studs, nuts.
Conventional designation of bolt, stud, nut, washer: Bolt - M10x1.5, Stud - M10x1.5, Nut - M10, Washer - 10.
Types of screws: with cylindrical head, countersunk head, semi-countersunk head, set screws.
Threads in pipelines: pipe thread (G, Rc).
Dimensions on drawings: diameter, thread length, thread pitch.
Keyed connection: shown with the key and seats indicated. Conventions - solid lines for the key and dashed lines for the groove.
Splined connection: shown with spline lines and their seats. Conventions - dashed and solid lines.
Permanent joints: welded, riveted, soldered, glued.
Welded seam on the drawing: conventionally designated by a weld line indicating the type of seam and its dimensions.
Simplifications in welded seams: it is permissible not to indicate the dimensions of the seams if they are standard.
Riveted seams on the drawing: are depicted as dots or crosses on the connection lines.
Soldered seams: are designated similarly to welded seams, indicating the type of solder.
Glued seams: are designated by lines indicating the area of application of the glue.
Special joints: magnetic, vacuum, high-temperature.
Types of gear transmissions: spur, helical, herringbone, worm, bevel, planetary.
Main parameters of the gear wheel: module, number of teeth, pitch circle diameter, tooth profile angle.
Lines for circles and tooth surfaces: solid lines for protrusions, dashed lines for depressions.
Types of springs: cylindrical, conical, disc, torsion.
Conventions when drawing springs: spring coils are depicted as solid lines, spring axes are dashed.
