13. What parameters define a cylindrical helix?
A line is a geometric locus of points that has length but no width or height.
A flat line lies in one plane, a spatial line lies in several.
Examples: flat - circle, ellipse; spatial - helical line, sinusoid in space.
A straight line is the shortest distance between two points, a curved line is a line that changes its direction along its entire length.
The projection of a straight line is determined by its position relative to the projection planes.
The position of a straight line: parallel to one of the projection planes, perpendicular to one and inclined to the others.
Level lines: horizontal and vertical lines on topographic maps.
Projection lines: vertical, horizontal, inclined lines.
The true value of a segment is determined by projecting it onto a plane perpendicular to the segment.
The location of two lines: intersecting, parallel, crossing.
Representation of a circle:
in the frontal projection plane — a horizontal line,
in the frontal plane of the level — a circle,
in the plane of general position — an ellipse.
Construction of an ellipse: use two perpendicular axes and circles tangent to these axes.
Parameters of a cylindrical helical line: pitch of the screw, diameter, angle of elevation of the helical line.
