We construct the perspective of the falling shadow of the vertical segment with different directions of light rays:
1. The light source is located in front of the segment and to the left of it.
2. The light source behind the segment and to the left of it.
3. Light rays are parallel to the plane of the picture.
The light source is located in front of the segment and to its left.
If the light source is located in front of the line to the left of it, then the vanishing point of the horizontal projections of the light rays F S 1 will be on the horizon line to the right of the straight line perspective, and the vanishing point of the light rays F S will be below the horizon line.
Since the straight line AB is perpendicular to the object plane, the shadow falling from it onto this plane is parallel to the horizontal projection of the light beam. To construct a falling shadow from a straight line, it is necessary to find shadows from points A and B on the horizontal projection of light rays passing through these points.
