When conducting a visual presentation using books, tables, graphs, it is very important to be able to control the direction of view of the audience. Studies show that during such a presentation, 83% of information is absorbed through vision, 11% through hearing, and 6% through other senses.
The amount of information entering the brain from the senses during a visual presentation
In the United States, it was found that during verbal presentations only 10% of the information is absorbed. This means that in order to increase the effectiveness of the verbal presentation, the information must be repeated several times. If the verbal presentation is accompanied by visual materials, the assimilation of information rises to 50%. From this we can conclude that the use of visual tools increases the effectiveness of the presentation by four times. Research also shows that visuals reduce the average length of meetings from 25.7 minutes to 18.6, or 28%.
