Throughout the history of mankind, people have attached great importance to the eyes and their influence on human behavior. Contact views have a strong impact on the course of the conversation, giving the inner mood of the interlocutor. We can talk about trying to establish control, deception, humility, tenderness. During a personal contact, we carefully look at the interlocutor. Eye signals allow us to determine the attitude and attitude of the interlocutor. When meeting for the first time, people immediately make certain assumptions about each other, mostly based on what they see.
We often use expressions in speech such as “she incinerated him with a glance,” “his eyes were suspiciously gleaming,” “her eyes are of a child,” “he has an evil eye.” The interlocutor’s eyes never leave our tongues — her eyes are Betty Davis, Spanish eyes, languid, hard, empty, sad, cold, or penetrating eyes. Using such characteristics, we unwittingly estimate the size of the pupil of the interlocutor and the characteristics of his gaze. The eyes best convey the character and mood of the person, because they are the visual center of the body, and the pupils are not consciously controlled.
