Theorem.
Parallel carry is movement.
Evidence.
Suppose there are two arbitrary points A (x1; y1) and B (x2; y2). Then, with parallel translation, we get the points A` (x1 + a; y2 + b) and B` (x2 + a; y2 + b).
As can be seen AB = A'B ', and therefore parallel transfer is a movement. The theorem is proved. |
