
Let there be a certain figure F and a fixed point O. Let's draw a half-line OA through an arbitrary point A of the figure F and postpone the segment OA` = k * OA, k> 0 on it. The transformation of the figure F, in which any of its point A goes to the point A`, constructed by this method is called a homothety relative to the point O. The number k is the homothety coefficient. |
