Yandex Metrica - as another source of data about keywords, as well as a new format for uploading data to MainLink. We unload, automate, promote.
Probably you already know that we have automated the unloading from the LiveInternet counter and in the previous article I told how you can use this when promoting low-frequency queries.
A natural extension was the connection of another popular system of statistics and analytics - this is Yandex Metrika. It has great potential, in particular, if Layvinternet stores high-grade statistics for only three months, then we can download the results for a whole year from the metric!
I will describe in detail the mechanism of connecting Metrics for unloading keywords. Once you own the Key Collector program, then you already have a "fake" account to connect to Yandex Direct and the keyword price data. We will use this account for parsing in order not to affect real data with real logins and passwords (for security purposes).
First, let's log in to the real Metrics account in order to give the right to view statistics to another user (just “fake”). To do this, click on the green button for editing parameters.
Go to the "Access" tab and enter the username of the Yandex account that you use to parse Direct.
We keep and on it our actions with the main account are finished. Now we can log in under the "fake" account, which was created specifically for parsing. We will see an accessible site, in guest access.
If we hover the cursor on the site address in the statistics - " seom.info ", we will see the address of the counter and its identifier (the numbers for each counter are different ).
Then we launch Key Collector and enter data for work. Login and password of the account that we created specifically for data acquisition. As well as the last numbers in the link - the identifier .
We select the period for which we want to remove the data - it can be a month, a quarter or a year. It should be taken into account that the longer the term, the more likely it is to receive a response from the server that the waiting time has elapsed and the data will not be received. This happens from time to time per year, during peak loads on the Metrics service.
The result of the work will be the data that are marked with the Metrics icon. There will also be an additional column with data on the failure rate, as additional information.
Next we traditionally remove relevant pages for each of the words and can proceed to the promotion of low-frequency queries. There is one more popular reference exchange - MainLink, and we will export data to it (by the way, we don’t forget - Maynlink returns money to optimizers for bad links).
Unlike SAPE, to Mainlink, we have provided a different data export format, which can be useful for other purposes.
