Lecture
So, I would like to highlight today a few points that may be known to many of my readers, but still they are worthy of attention.
We all use widgets in the sidebars of our blogs, no matter what the latest comments, recent posts, popular posts, friends list, rss or just ads.
All of this provides the convenience of using your site, but widgets such as recent comments and popular posts matter from an SEO point of view .
Almost everyone uses this widget on their sites, which includes links to the most recent entries. But its function is not only to show users the latest material on your site - it is much deeper.
The most common problem for all bloggers is the speed of indexing new posts .
Very often new posts get into the index for a long time, and the recent posts widget shows a link on all pages of your blog that are already indexed and are probably well ranked by search engines, and this in turn speeds up the indexing of new posts .
Also, this widget has an equally important function as an aid to navigation . When a user reads your homepage, he does not see all the interesting entries on your blog, and here, looking at the sidebar, he may see an interesting post, read it and possibly leave a link, which is a plus in the development of a blog or site.
And again, consider this widget from several sides.
If this widget puts links to the most popular posts on each page of the blog, then this greatly speeds up indexing => more traffic from search engines .
And this means that if the user really likes the post, he will definitely want to share it with like-minded people => more backlinks - better ranking by search engines.
So: recent posts + most popular posts = more visitors, more backlinks , better ranking, more traffic.
Over the past month, I decided to conduct a seo experiment which was as follows: I left comments on dofollow blogs and my task was to get on the list of top commentators - and this is a link on every page of the blog.
All I wanted to know was - what effect does it give?
Remarkably ... Here are the first results: the links were recognized by the search engines and the link mass increased by 5% (from 4500 to 4800).
No - but more on that later.
Yes! I noticed an increase in the number of visitors from search engines. In fact, the number of visitors reached 500, 2 weeks later, links from "top commentators" were recognized on 2 sites.
Unfortunately, such an increase could have been caused by other factors, but I noticed this after indexing links from the “top commentators”, which makes me believe that this method works .
Now I want to talk about ranking in more detail. I think you need to think about everything carefully so that mass spam blogs do not start.
So ... The appearance in the top commentators had no effect on the ranking, and I am sure that there are other, more effective ways to achieve this.
Anyway, I think that if you use a text anchor in the link of top commentators, then maybe you will go up a few positions in the issue.
If you can honestly break into the top commentators, then my congratulations to you, though ...
Search engines give weight to old links . And what if you stop commenting and fly out of the top commentators? Search engines re-index the page without reference to you => all your efforts were not worth a penny .
Therefore, as you can see, I think constant commenting can give you results - but this is a huge amount of time and effort.
Be that as it may, you decide, and the method I have tested works
