when closing the document, a window popped up asking to save or not, I chose save, the mouse cursor changed to a clock, and then a window popped up (failed to save the file) and everything disappeared. I go to the flash drive and the file isn't there(( ::blink.gif::
Can you tell me if it's possible to somehow recover the document on the flash drive?
in Total Commander, in hidden files, it's not there(
if you can't recover it, take it to someone who can recover it... there are programs that recover deleted files
DON'T WRITE ANYTHING TO THE FLASH DRIVE RIGHT NOW
DON'T EVEN PLUG IT INTO THE COMPUTER - THE AREA OF THE DELETED FILE MIGHT GET OVERWRITTEN AND THEN IT WILL DISAPPEAR FOREVER
THE FILE IS STILL THERE RIGHT NOW, IT'S JUST THAT ITS NAME IS GONE... BUT IT CAN MOST LIKELY BE RECOVERED
BY THE WAY, LOOK IN THE HIDDEN FILES - THERE SHOULD BE THE SAME FILE BUT WITH A TILDE AT THE BEGINNING
THIS IS A TEMPORARY BACKUP FILE
DID YOU LOOK?
A TILDE - IT'S A SYMBOL LIKE A WORM ::biggrin24.gif::
AND JUST RENAME IT - BUT NOT ON THE FLASH DRIVE - COPY IT TO THE HARD DRIVE FIRST, THEN RENAME IT AND USE IT
IF IT'S NOT THERE THEN JUST TRY TO RECOVER IT
YOU NEED TO ENABLE IT SO THEY ARE VISIBLE
IT'S MOST CONVENIENT TO DO IN TOTAL COMMANDER
