The monitor turns on for a few seconds and then goes dark
What is the cause of this problem?
if the message No Signal appears, the frequency is exceeded -
then possibly the resolution or screen refresh rate is exceeded - reboot into safe mode (press F8 or F5 before the system loads)
if the monitor just turns on for a second and the backlight is not LED but tube-based (CCFL), and sometimes under strong ambient light an image is visible -
then the matrix backlight inverter is probably damaged
if it does not turn on at all - then the PSU in the monitor has probably burned out, less often the video controller
in this case there is also a chance that the video connectors or video cable, or even the video card, are damaged,
try with a different monitor, with a different computer, or with a different video card (note that a single PC may have 2 video cards, the integrated video card can be enabled via the BIOS)
