Prior to repairing the PC power supply unit, the following measures must be taken:
- Ensure the implementation of security measures (BP connected through an isolating transformer);
- Examine, if available, the concept of the BP, identify the main structural blocks, get acquainted with the design features;
- To determine the constructive placement of the main structural blocks of the BP.
- Make a plan (algorithm) for troubleshooting BP.
Figure 29 shows a general view of the troubleshooting algorithm in the PSU.
Figure 30-32 shows the search algorithms for the most common cases of power supply faults.
