Computer is lagging badly during VPN connection
What operating system do you have?
Windows XP
Check for viruses, disable network filters on antiviruses and firewalls, check the VPN ports for use by other programs
I did everything, even reinstalled Windows and made the VPN connection on a clean system - it still lags badly
what service pack, XP 2 or 3? try installing the important updates
WindowsXP-KB958644-x86-RUS
WindowsXP-KB958687-x86-RUS.exe
WindowsXP-KB957097-x86-RUS.exe
Where can I download them?
Only on the official Microsoft.com website, so you don't pick up any viruses
Thank you so much! The VPN doesn't lag now!!!
By the way, to prevent the printer services and network file sharing services from crashing, you also need to install them, and preferably service pack 3
also install them if this error occurs too
This problem is related to several bugs in the 'Server' system service (specifically in the netapi32.dll module) when operating on a network under Windows XP SP1/SP2/SP3.
there's probably a network worm virus - that's what's knocking out the printer services
by the way, the computer often lags because of RAID arrays - you have to disable RAID, since in the long run it's a big drawback, and just make a regular copy to a second drive instead, since the disks don't wear evenly, while a RAID array, if it's a mirror, assumes complete identity
