Classification of radio receivers

Lecture

By appointment: broadcasting and professional.

Broadcasting:

a) sound;

b) television:

- black and white TV;

- color TV.

Professional:

a) connected:

- grassroots communication;

- regional communications;

- trunk communication;

- space communications;

b) television:

- dispatch;

- measuring;

- informational;

c) radar:

- near location;

- distant location;

d) radio navigation:

- near navigation;

- long-distance navigation;

e) measuring;

e) telecontrol;

g) telemetry.

The group of broadcasting PRRUs is distinguished by relatively simple technical solutions to the tasks of receiving messages, since the mass production of broadcasting receivers with particular urgency dictates the economic feasibility of such an approach to development.

The group of professional receivers is distinguished by more complex technical solutions, since these devices operate mainly with one radio transmitter and the cost of receiving and transmitting equipment may be equivalent.

By type of modulation used on the communication line:

- receivers of amplitude modulated signals;

- receivers of frequency-modulated signals;

- receivers of phase-modulated signals;

- receivers of pulse-modulated signals;

- receivers single band signals;

- receivers combined signals.

By the range of received waves:

- receivers of long waves;

- medium wave receivers;

- short wave receivers;

- VHF receivers:

- meter wave receivers;

- UHF receivers;

- centimeter wave receivers;

- Receivers millimeter waves.

If the receiver includes several bands, then they are called all-wave.

Ultrashort wave receivers ( Classification of radio receivers m), i.e. ultra high frequency ( Classification of radio receivers MHz), by design and by calculation methods, differ significantly from receivers of longer wavelengths, i.e. lower frequencies. Therefore, the PRU is often divided into two major classes:

- Receivers of moderate-high frequencies ( Classification of radio receivers MHz);

- microwave receivers ( Classification of radio receivers MHz);

According to the features of the scheme:

a) detector receivers;

b) direct gain receivers;

c) regenerative receivers;

d) superregenerative receivers;

e) infraradines.

By occupation:

- telegraph;

- telephone;

- television;

- phototelegraphic, etc.

According to the place of installation:

- stationary;

- mobile;

- aircraft;

- ship;

- automobile;

- portable, etc.

By way of feeding:

- self-powered from batteries or dry batteries;

- network.
