1. General characteristics of the profession

Install and monitor the operation of internal sanitary devices: heating systems, cold and hot water. They work in various spheres: in design institutes, at construction sites, at industrial enterprises, they serve residential buildings.

2. Requirements for the individual characteristics of a specialist

Must have physical strength and endurance, good hearing and eyesight. He needs good coordination of hand and hand movements, imaginative memory, accurate eye, technical acumen.

3. Medical contraindications

The profession is contraindicated for persons suffering from diseases of the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, respiratory organs and vision, nervous and mental diseases.

4. Requirements for training

Must have good knowledge in the field of physics (mechanics, thermal physics, hydraulics), elementary mathematics, metal technology and other materials. He should know: safety regulations; the appointment and use of various plumbing and measuring tools; types of pipe joints, plumbing installation methods.

Must be able to: "read" the drawings, make sketches of the elements of the systems; perform work on the procurement of parts and components of sanitary equipment and make their installation; identify the causes of problems in his work and how to eliminate them.
