The term "manager" is derived from the English "manage", which means: "manage, manage, stand at the head, handle."
Thus, a manager is a manager who has professional knowledge in the organization and management of production. Based on this definition, a manager can be called any manager, director, manager, administrator.
As the heroes in the play have their own roles that make them behave in a certain way, managers also occupy certain positions as heads of structural divisions of the company, which determines their official behavior.
The main function of managers is management, which includes the process of planning, organizing, motivating and controlling. Depending on the size and number of objects of management, management levels are distinguished, and, consequently, managers.
It is generally accepted to single out low-level managers (in world practice, operational managers), middle managers and senior managers.
The lower level managers are junior supervisors who are directly above the workers and other workers (not managers). These include masters, department heads in stores, department chairs, sales managers who have sales representatives (agents), etc. under their authority. In general, most managers are low-level managers. Most people start their management career in this capacity. Lower level managers can have any level of education.
Middle managers are chiefs of lower-level managers. Depending on the size of the organization, there may be several levels of such managers. Middle managers are the head of the workshop, the branch director, the dean of the faculty, the head of the sales department, etc. Most often, these managers have diplomas of higher education.
Top managers are the smallest group of managers. Even in the largest organizations there are only a few people. Typical posts here will be the plant's general director, store director, university rector, chairman of the board of directors. This level of management requires a higher education, sometimes not one.
It is obvious that the amount of wages depends on the level of management and can vary from several thousand rubles to hundreds of thousands.
In Russian practice, managers can call anyone, regardless of the presence or absence of their subordinates. Such situations generate stories for anecdotes, when, for example, a loader is called a weight transfer manager.
