A dihedral angle is a figure formed by two planes with a common straight line bounding them. The half-planes are called
faces , and the straight line bounding them is called the
edge of a dihedral angle.
A plane perpendicular to the edge of a dihedral angle intersects its faces along two half-lines. The angle formed by these half-lines is called the
linear angle of the dihedral angle.
