Autonomic-visceral disorders
Respiratory disturbances - loss of a full inhalation, disturbances of respiratory rhythm, hiccups, coughing, often combined with sneezing and yawning, attacks of frequent, shallow «doglike» breathing appearing at moments of nervous-psychological tension
Gastrointestinal disorders: anorexia, aerophagia, belching, regurgitation, vomiting, gastralgia, voracity, neurotic disturbances of bowel function (increased peristalsis, "bear disease")
Genitourinary disorders: dysuria or complaints of frequent urination, unpleasant sensations in the genitals, vaginismus.
Hysterical coughing, hiccups, yawning, and aerophagia are usually paroxysmal in nature, their duration varies (from several minutes to 10 months), and they disappear during sleep
Imaginary or false pregnancy Includes external signs of physiological pregnancy:
the clinical picture shows amenorrhea or dysmenorrhea, nausea and vomiting, nipple pigmentation,
breast engorgement and the presence of sticky discharge, and sometimes even milk;
increase in abdominal volume due to intestinal bloating, gas retention, and deposition of fatty tissue in the abdominal wall and buttocks;
a sensation of fetal movements and even painful labor contractions (resulting from significantly increased intestinal peristalsis or its spasm) by the expected due date;
gait and posture characteristic of pregnant women;
cases are known of «the breaking of waters», which were simply urination
Examination may reveal the absence of uterine enlargement and fetal heartbeat, and negative serological tests for pregnancy
Cardiac disturbances: pulse lability, blood pressure fluctuations, palpitations, sensations of fluttering, tightness, burning, stabbing
+Munchausen syndrome - represents an imitation of disease of the internal organs, most often the gastrointestinal tract. It is characterized by excessively dramatic complaints of imaginary somatic illnesses combined with an almost compulsive drive toward pseudology and fantasizing
