Education is a special area of the pedagogical process. On the one hand, upbringing cannot be considered only as an addition to the educational process, on the other hand, upbringing is also carried out in training classes, since training has an educational function. Classes, extracurricular educational work, the interaction of the school with the families of students and their social environment are all different aspects of a holistic pedagogical process. Moreover, it is very important that all parts of the pedagogical process are interconnected, united by the general goals of upbringing, not contradict each other, but be subordinate to these goals. In this case, we can talk about the existence of a system of educational interaction: educational system.
The educational system is a complex social, psychological and pedagogical education. It covers the entire educational process, combining classes and extracurricular activities, diverse activities and free communication of adults and children. Educational systems can be created in schools of various types, in cultural institutions, additional education, in the process of organizing leisure and recreation for children, in youth organizations and associations, etc. They can include not only pupils and teachers, but also parents, members of the public, and cover the interaction of the school and society.
The educational system is closely connected with the environment: with the immediate social environment and society as a whole, it can include various microsocial entities, cultural, sports, and production institutions. It can function in one class, and can cover the entire school or even the entire microdistrict.
The educational system is created on the basis of a certain concept, including goals, objectives, principles, leading ideas, pedagogical theories, positive experience. The concept serves as an “image” of the future educational system, which the teaching staff is guided by.
The pedagogical effectiveness of the educational system is determined by the integrity of the pedagogical process implemented with it, which manifests itself in the unity of education and training, goals, objectives and content. So, the system contributes to the implementation of a number of functions of the pedagogical process. In addition to the actual educational, among its functions are the following:
· Organizational (aimed at streamlining the educational process);
· Integrating (ensures the systematization of inconsistent educational influences; this is necessary in view of the many subjects of education included in the system);
· Regulatory (associated with the correction of adverse factors in the development of the pupil, with overcoming the contradictions that inevitably accumulate during the functioning and development of the educational system);
· Developing (is to ensure the dynamics of the educational system as a condition for the continuous development of pupils);
· Protective (consists in providing social protection for students).
