External forces are called the forces of interaction between the structural element under consideration and the bodies associated with it. |
If the load is distributed over the surface of the body or its part, then this load is called distributed. |
In the design scheme, the load distributed over the surface (Fig. 1.2) results in a plane coinciding with the longitudinal axis, resulting in a load distributed along the line. |
The measure of such a load is its intensity q - the value of the load per unit length. Dimension - N / m. |
The resultant distributed load is numerically equal to the area of its plot and is applied at the center of its gravity. |
