3.4. The principle of independence of action of forces

If several forces act on a material point, then

Where - acceleration of a material point caused by the action of a single force on it . Thus, if several forces simultaneously act on a material point, then each of them reports a bit. the same acceleration as if there were no other forces. This statement is called the principle of independence of action of forces.
