5. Dynamics of rotational motion of a rigid body. Introduction

Lecture



In the dynamics of the translational motion of the material point were introduced in addition to the kinematic quantities, the concept of force and mass. Similarly, to study the dynamics of the rotational motion of a body, in addition to the considered kinematic characteristics, new quantities are introduced - the moment of force, the moment of inertia and the angular momentum.
