The root of imaginary and real sexual problems buried ... in childhood.
“Sometimes I see dreams in which I mate with“ my mother. I wake up and after that in a cold sweat and with a feeling of disgust for myself. Isn’t my psyche really all right? After all, such nightmares can hardly be called a normal phenomenon ... ”. Such statements have to listen to psychologists often.
For the first time, Austrian psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud spoke openly about this phenomenon. The phenomenon required in-depth analysis, since such cases are not exceptional, but rather common. Today, according to psychologists, every fourth man (or woman) sometimes has dreams in which he copulates with his mother (father) or sister ( brother).
According to Freud, this is not at all absurd and not an accident. He developed a theory of the psychosexual development of a person, in shaping the character of which the main role was assigned to the experiences of childhood. The first person the child contacts is the mother, therefore communication with her determines his psychology. The psychoanalyst of absurd dreams has identified a clear system - depending on the mechanisms that affect dreams.
We usually use the word “sex”, while Freud has the concept of “libido”, that is, the energy that appears in a person immediately after his birth. Doctors have long noticed that an erection of the penis occurs in an infant sucking breast. In fact, he becomes the “sexual partner” of his mother, who forms his libidinal energy through his lips, nipples, etc. Therefore, the whole story of the child’s communication with the mother is associated with this.
In an adult individual, libido arises in the form of the dreams mentioned - as an echo, an echo of the past embedded in the subconscious. The man grew up, his consciousness in the process of education rose to a high level, so he even mentally does not allow sexual contact with the woman who gave birth to him. But the libidinal energy is below (in the subconscious), it originated in communication with the mother. This is the echo of the Oedipus complex (its essence: for every man, the first woman is a mother). The same applies to the Electra complex (for each woman, the first man is a father). Perhaps it hurts the ear, but do not forget that we are talking about the subconscious.
If children of different sexes grow together, they also form each other's sexual sensations, since the sister has a brother, and the brother has a sister, which are also the first objects of the opposite sex (this is especially true if the family has no mother or father).
When people come to the reception, who dream of the aforementioned (absurd) dreams, patients usually are in a panic and consider themselves to be almost devils. Sometimes one session of psychoanalysis is enough to explain to them that this is a completely natural process and there is no sedition here.
The parents brought a 10-year-old daughter to the psychologist's reception, who had some strange behaviors: she was aggressive towards them, sometimes sugary with her father, especially if he was in a semi-nude state. Domestic problems caused the girl's neurotic state: until the third grade, she slept with her parents in the same bed ...
The fate of a person as the future subject of sexual relations is also determined by the family in which the child grows, and even the living space where the “unit of society” lives.
In a small apartment, in a communal apartment or dormitory, when the family is forced to huddle in one room, sexual intercourse takes place in the presence of children who are supposedly sleeping. But more often they don’t think to sleep: they fidget in their beds, worry about their mother (why does she moan? Is she ill?).
According to our case studies, 40 percent of children overhear and spy on this process. Sometimes a child cannot fall asleep, because he knows that “according to the schedule” IT should start now, and, lurking, wait. On this basis, children have the strongest neurosis. But often parents do not even think about their true causes. Therefore, in order to avoid shocks, as well as the development of sexual deviations, you should either isolate the children or do it during the day when they are not at home.
Up to 6-7 years old girls always show an interest in the naked body of their father (Freud's castration complex, when future women feel inferior due to their lack of a male member). However, if daddies often appear naked in front of their daughters, the latter may experience neurotic reactions and an unhealthy interest in the male body.
The same goes for boys. Mommies take their little children with them to the bathhouse, regardless of the experiences of little men (what, they say, does he understand?). At first, the baby makes bath tours with curiosity and pleasure, but then they become dramatic for him, since the little man experiences sexual arousal and shyness.
