9.1. The concept of information and its types.
The concept of information, data, knowledge. Requirements for information. Information culture. Information society. The Law of Ukraine "On Information". Economic information, its characteristic features, types, sources and methods
of collection. Classification of economic information: depending on the stages of its origin and formation, from the standpoint of the technology of solving economic problems, depending on its functions in management processes, according to the features of the objects it reflects, according to its purpose in the management process, in relation
to the regulated object. Adequacy of information. Forms of information adequacy: syntactic, semantic, pragmatic. Approaches to determining
the degree of the amount of information. Evaluation of the properties of economic information. Consumer
indicators of the quality of economic information: objectivity, volume, completeness,
accessibility, timeliness, relevance, accuracy, authenticity, value.
9.2. The structure of information.
Logical structure: symbol, data item, indicator, document, array, information flow, information subsystem, information system. Elements of the transformation of economic information: operation, procedure. Physical data structure: symbol, field, data aggregate, record, file, database.
9.3. Data updating processes.
Information updating processes: identifying information needs,
selecting information sources, collecting information; entering information; processing information; evaluating information; presenting information in a
convenient form; outputting information to the user or to another system.
Data updating operations: adding, retrieving, editing records.
