Restrictions on disaggregation by design complexity

Lecture

Unbundling can be performed only if the geometrical dimensions of the modules are known, which determine not only the capacity, but also the thermal conditions, electromagnetic compatibility, and other most important design features of the radio-electronic device, including reliability. A large number of factors affect the geometrical dimensions, and the degree of influence of the same factors may differ significantly at different levels of disaggregation.

The design of the RECs of the highest levels of unbundling determines the purpose, the installation object, the requirements of ergonomics and technical aesthetics. In order to create a highly complex electronic device in the form of a single whole (assembly unit), the weight and dimensions of the modules of the highest levels should be close to the maximum allowable from the point of view of the anthropometric characteristics of a person. the mass of undifferentiated when moving structures is no more than 150 ... 200 kg. A typical example of the size limitations of a distribution zone as an installation object is the requirement to ensure the transportation of ship-based distribution systems through hatches (600 x 600 mm). The aesthetic requirements for the appearance of the radio electronic equipment have a great influence on the choice of dimensions.

The nature of the influence of the factors considered on the construction of blocks (SEM2) is somewhat different, and their significance is reduced. Despite this, the issues of ergonomic coordination must also be taken into account in this case, for example, the weight of the modules should not exceed 30 kg, and even 10 ... 15 kg installed in the upper rows of cabinets. On the other hand, in the aspect of maintainability of RESs, block sizes should be sufficient to accommodate 10 ... 50 cells. The installation object has a significant impact on the geometric dimensions of the blocks when they are placed not in the cabinets, but in niches or cavities allocated for this purpose.

Cells (REM1) have relatively small size and weight. Restoration of the RES in a modular design occurs after the detection and replacement of a faulty cell. The time of removal and installation of an easily removable cell mainly depends on the design of the connecting nodes, so that increasing the complexity and size of the cell has a relatively small effect on T a . The introduction of a multi-pin electrical connector always reduces the average operating time and can be justified if the failures associated with it do not become major, that is, the cell must be quite large.

Consequently, when assessing the cell size, it should be taken into account that their increase is expedient on the basis of the following considerations: the possibility of locating the RECs of sufficient functional complexity; improving the maintainability of devices; reduce the impact of connector failures on the overall reliability of the module; reducing the proportion of products introduced only to give constructive completeness. At the same time, as the size increases, the reliability and maintainability of the cells themselves deteriorate, the organization of spare parts and tools is complicated.
