The choice of base material of the board is carried out on the basis of the purpose and conditions of use, the requirements for structural and technological indicators. Here, the manufacturing technology is chosen, which sets limits on the size and attainable density of the printed pattern.
Prior to the start of topological design, the overall dimensions of the board should be determined, albeit approximately. The approximate dimensions are found by summing the areas of the IET installation models and rounding to the nearest standard or unified standard size. Then you need to select the criteria for optimizing the location and tracing, to form a set of requirements to be taken into account. Based on the assessment - the complexity of the electrical concept, the preparation of a formalized task and the preparation of data, decide on the design method: manual, semi-automated or automated.
According to a given algorithm, the placement and tracing are performed, and the constraints are checked. In case of violation of any of them, they make adjustments and repeat the development process, and usually one or two cycles are enough.
