Tuya Gateway — is a central device that connects smart devices (sensors, switches, bulbs, etc.) to the Tuya cloud and the Smart Life app. It ensures stable operation, automation and device management, especially for devices using protocols other than Wi-Fi (for example, Zigbee, Bluetooth, Matter).
Tuya offers several types of gateways, each supporting different protocols and use cases:
Connects devices operating on the Zigbee 3.0 protocol.
Distinguished by high stability, low power consumption and fast response.
Supports up to 50–100 devices.
Ideal for motion sensors, door sensors, smart sockets and bulbs.
The terminal device controlled by the gateway is a Tuya ZigBee product, while a device with only Tuya WiFi does not belong to this type of product.
The Tuya ZigBee gateway supports Tuya ZigBee sub-devices.
Allows remote control of Bluetooth devices via the cloud.
Suitable for smart locks, thermometers, fitness devices.
Often integrated into other devices (for example, smart speakers).
