Windows Server: how to remove the Certificate Services role

Practice



To remove the Certificate Services role on a Windows Server 2003 machine, do the following:

1) Log in with an administrator account.

2) Open Control Panel.

3) Open "Add or Remove Programs".

4) Go to "Windows Components".

5) Uncheck "Certificate Services".

6) Continue through the wizard and, if IIS is installed, answer Yes to the question "Restart IIS service?"

That's it - the Certificate Services role has been removed.
