Wanted signal: an analog frequency-division multiplexed multichannel telephone signal with an FM carrier.

Service sharing: terrestrial fixed service (TFS).

EMC criterion: mean-minute interference power in the telephone channel of 1000 pW for no more than 20% of the month; 50000 pW for no more than 0.03% of the month.

ITU-R Recommendation SF.483

Wanted signal: an analog television signal with an FM carrier.

Service sharing: other FSS networks.

EMC criterion: 10% of the permissible noise power in the video channel for no more than 1% of the month; interference from a single network 4% of the permissible noise power.

Maximum permissible power flux density values produced at the Earth's surface by fixed-satellite service satellites. (ITU-R Recommendation SF.358)

Service sharing: terrestrial fixed service (TFS).

EMC criterion: the permissible power flux density of the space station at the Earth's surface must not exceed, in any 4 kHz band: in the range 8.025...11.7 GHz:

-150 dBW/m2 for <5°;

(-150 + 0.5[ - 5]) dBW/m2 for 5°< <25°;

-140 dBW/m2 for 25°< <90°; in the range 12.2... 12.75 GHz: -148 dBW/m2 for < 5°;

(-148 + 0.5[ - 5]) dBW/m2 for 5°< <25°;

-138 dBW/m2for 25°< <90°;

angle of arrival of the radio signal from the space station.

Maximum equivalent isotropically radiated power transmitted toward the horizon by earth stations of the fixed-satellite service. (ITU-R Recommendation SF.1004) Service sharing: terrestrial fixed service (TFS).

EMC criterion: the EIRP of the earth station in any direction toward the horizon must not exceed the following values:

in the frequency bands 1... 15 GHz: + 40 dBW in any 4 kHz band for < 5°;

(40 + 3 ) dBW in any 4 kHz band for 0°< <5°; in frequency bands above 15 GHz: + 64 dBW in any 1 MHz band for <5°; (64 + 3 ) dBW in any 1 MHz band for 0°< <5°;

EIRP is not limited for > 5°

Table A5.2 Terrestrial Fixed Service (TFS)

Maximum permissible interference levels in the telephone channel of a radio-relay system with analog angle modulation. (ITU-R Recommendation SF.357) Service sharing: FSS.

EMC criterion: mean-minute interference power in the telephone channel of 1000 pW for no more than 20% of the month; 50000 pW for no more than 0.01% of the month.

Maximum permissible interference levels to terrestrial radio-relay systems, in the frequency band below 15 GHz (ITU-R Recommendation SF.615)

Service sharing: fixed-satellite service (FSS)

EMC criterion: interfering emissions must not degrade quality by causing an increase of more than 0.0054% of the month during which the mean-second Perr > 10~3; interfering emissions must not degrade quality by causing an increase in the number of errored seconds in a 64 kbit/s channel by more than 0.032% of the month.

Maximum equivalent isotropically radiated power of radio-relay system transmitters. (ITU-R Recommendation SF.406) Service sharing: FSS.

EMC criterion: the EIRP of radio-relay stations must not exceed:

in the frequency bands 1... 10 GHz: + 55 dBW under any conditions;

+ 47 dBW toward the geostationary orbit (GSO) in the sector 0...0.5°;

47...55 dBW toward the GSO in the angular sector 0.5... 1.5°; in the frequency bands 10... 15 GHz: +55 dBW under any conditions;

+45 dBW toward the geostationary orbit (GSO) in the sector 0... 1.5°; in frequency bands above 15 GHz: + 55 dBW under any conditions.

Protection of line-of-sight radio-relay systems from interference (ITU-R Recommendation SF.760) .

Frequency band: 21.4...22.0 GHz.

Service sharing: broadcasting-satellite service (BSS)

EMC criterion: the permissible power flux density of the space station at the Earth's surface must not exceed, in any 1 MHz band, under any conditions:

-115 dBW/m2 for 0°< ß <5°; (-115 + 0.5[ß - 5]) dBW/m2for 5°< ß < 25°; -105 dBW/m2for 25°< ß < 90°

Frequency band: 1...3 GHz. (ITU-R Recommendation SF.1334) Service sharing: mobile communication networks (MCN).

EMC criterion: the maximum aggregate interference from MCN, including base and mobile stations, must be such that the desensitization of the TFS receiver does not exceed 1 dB under normal radio-wave propagation conditions.
