Lecture
The difference of this genre from the informational genre of “mini-history” consists in the completeness, richness of the “sweep” of their respective sides, linguistic imagery, and visualization. A similar type of text in fiction corresponds to a story. Publications of this type appear very often on the pages of the popular Western periodicals (for example, the world famous reading magazine Rieders Digest) and, therefore, have been thoroughly studied. In life stories, certain episodes from the life of people, their actions, various situations, conflicts, i.e. all that may be labeled as the "being of man." Everyday stories are created using the artistic method, i.e. The main role in the birth of such texts is played by the author's fantasy. It is she who creates situations that did not exist in practice or “handles” what took place in reality, bringing the “source material” to the artistic level that is actually possible in a particular case (from the point of view of enhancing the imagery, severity of the collisions contained in the material, unexpected turns in the development of displayed events, etc.).
However, unlike actual works of art, everyday stories written by journalists, as a rule, have a more mundane, close to the documentary character of reality display, schematism in the development of the plot, the use of inherent newspaper speech language stamps, well-established stylistic turns.
A certain closeness of everyday history in the indicated plan to journalistic publications of other genre groups (for example, correspondences) still does not prevent it from being attributed precisely to artistic and journalistic genres. This assignment is justified primarily by the use of such stories by the authors as the main tool for creating a work of an artistic method of representing reality.
