Lecture
The discipline «Music Psychology» is located in the cycle of general professional disciplines of the basic part of the educational program, OPD.F.02.
The study of the course is preceded by the following disciplines: school
courses in anatomy and physiology, history, and general biology.
In the process of mastering this discipline, the student forms and demonstrates the following general professional competencies:
General scientific:
- the ability to use knowledge of the modern natural-scientific picture of the world in educational and professional activity,
to apply methods of the mathematical processing of information and of theoretical and experimental research (OK-5);
- the ability to construct oral and written speech logically and correctly (OK-6);
- readiness to interact with colleagues and to work in a team (OK-7);
- readiness to use the main methods, ways, and means of obtaining, storing, and processing information, and readiness to work with
a computer as a means of managing information (OK-8);
- the ability to work with information in global computer
networks (OK-9);
- readiness to use normative legal documents in one's own
activity (OK-13);
- readiness for a tolerant perception of social and cultural
differences, and a respectful and careful attitude toward historical
heritage and cultural traditions (OK-14);
- the ability to understand the driving forces and patterns of the historical process, the place of the human being in the historical process, and the political
organization of society (OK-15);
- the ability to use skills of public speaking and of conducting discussion and polemics (OK-16).
General professional competencies:
- awareness of the social significance of one's future profession, and possession of motivation to carry out professional activity
(OPK-1);

- the ability to use systematized theoretical and
practical knowledge of the humanities, social, and economic sciences
when solving social and professional tasks (OPK-2);
- command of the basics of a professional culture of speech (OPK-3);
- the ability to bear responsibility for the results of one's own
professional activity (OPK-4).
Professional competencies:
- the ability and readiness to be aware of the specifics of musical performance as a type of creative activity (PK-1);
- the ability and readiness for constant and systematic work aimed at improving one's own performing skill (PK-11);
- the ability and readiness to master the necessary complex
of general-pedagogical and psychological-pedagogical knowledge and concepts in
the field of music pedagogy and the psychology of musical activity (PK-21);
- the ability and readiness to foster in students a need for creative work on a musical piece (PK-24).
The proportion of classes conducted in interactive forms is determined by the main goal of the bachelor's degree program, the features of the student body, and the content of specific disciplines, and overall in the educational
process they must make up no less than 30 percent of classroom sessions. Lecture-type classes for the corresponding groups of students
may not make up more than 60 percent of classroom sessions» (a requirement
of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Professional Education for the field of study 073100, Musical-Instrumental Art (qualification (degree) «bachelor»))
Interactive forms of conducting practical work (33 hours
in total) account for 45.8% of classroom instruction time. A fairly large percentage (up to 50% of classroom instruction time) may be made up of the lecture course, presented in the form of presentations.
